LM2940-N: pin numbers of WSON (NGN) Package are different in Layout example on data sheet

Hi,

The data sheet in pin numbering table suggest that pin numbers for Voltage output are 5 and 6 for WSON (NGN) package but the layout example is suggesting 7 and 8 are voltage outputs.

Can you please confirm which one is correct?

Also, can you please suggest that N/C pins can be connected to GND as shown in layout example.

Hi Mohsin,

Thanks for pointing this out. Pins 5 and 6 are the output pins.

The NC pins can be connected to GND, and it is recommended to do so for improved thermal performance. I checked and the NC pins are indeed not internally connected.
