Hi support team,
Is it okay to change the logic of the MODE terminal to switch between PFM/PWM while power is being input to the VIN terminal, the EN terminal is high, and output is being generated from the VOUT terminal?
(Will the output be interrupted?)
Or is it better to fix the MODE while output is in progress?
Regards,
Dice-K
Hi Tao,
Thank you for your reply.
I found information in the following thread that says it takes 2μs to transition from PFM to PWM.
e2e.ti.com/.../tps631000-switching-from-pfm-to-pwm
Is the transition time from PWM to PFM about the same?
Best regards,

Hi Tao,
Thank you for your reply.
Also, is the output voltage seamless?
Also, doesn't the output voltage fluctuate when switching modes like with the TPS63060?
Best regards,
Dice-K
Hi Dice,
It is very different with TPS63060 since their control therory is different.
For TPSM83100, there is almost no DC vout gap between PFM and PWM.
