BQ25720: not getting the output at charger IC BQ25720RSNR

Hi TI,

We are developping the charger board BQ25720RSNR with MCU for operation at input 18.8V and output 18.8V/6A.

1.Not getting the output voltage,i verified the voltages at MOSFET (Q7) getting 18.8V at pins 5,6,7,8 and at pins 1,2,3 voltage is 0.

2.Is it possible to charge the battey without MCU and program?

Can you help me to resolve it.

My suggestion is to order a BQ25720EVM and try it out.

before that why i am not getting the voltage at low drive mosfet(Q4).

Hi Tiger,

I did small changes in my design to charge lithium ion battery pack(18.8V/6A).

While i am powering (18.8V/5A)the board without load, got the output with small voltage drop.

but when i tried to power up the board with load(battery pack - 18.8V/6A) the battery is not charging.we checked the battery,it is good condition.

Do i need to change any ressistor values.

can you help me to resolve this issue.
