I need to know if TPS3850 is ASIL and can be used for safety applications? if yes can you provide me with safety manual?

    Hi Ahashem,

    The TPS3850-Q1 is not an ASIL rated device. However we do have functional safety information (FIT, FMD, & FMA) that can be used by the functional safety assessor to perform system level ASIL calculations. This information can be found in the product folder under the technical documentation as seen in the image below:

     

    If you would like an ASIL rated supervisor + watchdog we have our TPS389C0300CRTERQ1 ASIL D supervisor + watchdog. The functional safety manual for this device can be requested on the product folder page as seen in the image below:

    Would you mind providing some details as to why an ASIL rated supervisor + watchdog is needed in your system?

    Thanks for the answer, I noticed that you sent to documentation related to TPS3850-Q1 However we use TPS3850 not TPS3850-Q1, is the documentation applicable for TPS3850?

    Yes, this documentation applies to both the industrial TPS3850 and the automotive TPS3850-Q1.
