Tool/software:

I sent 3 LFP battery cells and the form to TI for characterization the package was delivergy July 11th. My questions are:

1. How long does characterization take?

2. How do I know that the batteries are in process of being characterized?

3. When characterization is complete do they send an email to the person on the form?

4. Im assuming the new ID will be in the chem_updater folder on TIs website to download to BQstudios.

Hi,

1) Depends on the cells but typically around a month

2) I can check on that for you, do you have the form you placed in the box with the cells?

3) Yes, the email on the from will receive an email that the ChemID is complete and what the ChemID number is

4) Yes, the new chemID will be in the new chem updater and will need to placed into the chemistry folder on BQstudio

Hi Diego, is there any update to if the Chem ID characterization was completed. I downloaded the most recent chemupdater and did not see Relion battery

Hi Cole,

Your ChemID is still being created. Your cells are taking longer than expected to characterize. This is not unexpected for LFP cells.

You will be emailed with the ChemID# once it is complete.
