TPSM82816: TPSM82816 PG pin may be low during normal operation

Part Number: TPSM82816

Tool/software:

Dear Specialists

We are using a TPSM82816 on a custom board.

VIN, EN, and PG (p.u.) are configured to be connected to the same power supply.

Assume the following situation with the above configuration.

-VIN and EN rise instantaneously at the same time, causing PG to go high.

-The input power supply voltage is always stable.

-The conditions for PG going low shown in Table 7-2 of D/S are not met.

At this time, is it possible that PG could go low under some conditions?

(Conditions other than those shown in Table 7-2 of D/S)

Best Regards.

Ryo.

  • Hi Ryo,

Table 7-2 shows all the PG logic.

Can you post a waveform of what you are seeing?  You can also double check the PG behavior on a known good IC or the EVM.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Hi,Chris

    Thank you for your reply.

Currently, we are not in a situation to confirm the exceptional behavior in Table 7-2.

    Therefore, no waveforms exist.

I was wanting to know whether there were any exceptions to Table 7-2 in the IC specifications.

Your reply has resolved my question.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

    Best Regards.

    Ryo
