Our product uses the BQ27421-G1 for battery power management. During the production process, there is a rare occurrence (less than one in a thousand) that BQ27421-G1 does not respond to any I2C commands. The reason for this I2C non-response is currently unknown. Even system reboot does not resolve the issue; the battery must be physically disconnected and reconnected to restore BQ27421-G1 work normal. Since our product has an internal battery and cannot have the battery disconnected without damaging the casing, is there any way to perform a hardware reset on the BQ27421 when encountering the I2C non-response issue?
