Tool/software:
Hey,
we need for a new design a reference voltage with small package. The component should be used as reference voltage for the INA 826 and additional for the ADC for STM32.
In the current design we used INA118 and LM4121IM5 which is adjusted to 1,5V. For the new design we must optimize the size of the board and want used INA826 with the WSON8 packages and the reference voltage REF35102YBHR with the package BGA. In the datasheet chapter 8.3.7 reference terminal of INA826 is mentioned that: “For best performance, keep the source impedance to the REF pin less than 5 Ω“, can the reference voltage REF35102 do this? The Input bandwidth of INA is from 0Hz until 50KHz, a low noise of the complete design is very important. The INA is powered by a dual voltage of +5V and -3.2V.
The Ref35 is powered by +3.3V.
The voltage of +5.5V is generated by the IC LM2775 and the voltage -3,2V by LM2776, both components and Ref35102 is powered by LM3603
Or can you support us another component with a small package.
TI site recommended the REF35 as alternate to LM4121IM5-1.2.
The reference design REF35EVM was ordered
Thank you for your support
Hi Stephan,
The output impedance at DC can be found using the load regulation spec in the REF35 datasheet:
For sourcing current:
Load Regulation * Output Voltage = 60 ppm/mA * 1.024 V = 0.061 Ω
For sinking current:
Load Regulation * Output Voltage = 350 ppm/mA * 1.024 V = 0.358 Ω
Please make sure the current drawn from REF35 does not exceed 10mA.
Thanks,
Jackson
