LM3405: Question about LM3405

Part Number: LM3405

Tool/software:

Hello:

If PWM adjustment is not required for LM3405, first connect the EN pin to GND and turn off this function. If I only need to turn it on and off, then I can connect the switch button to the power input terminal to achieve it, right?

  • Hi Jimmy,

I am here to help you with your question.

Based on your words, you mean you do not need PWM dimming function, right? If so, you only need to tie the EN/DIM pin to VIN.

May I ask what you mean by 'switch button'?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Qingwei:

I still need the LED driven switch function, but does not use PWM to adjust, only on and off. Therefore, they want to add a switch button at the power supply position to achieve on and off in conjunction with the conduction of the transistor. Please guide, thank you!!!

  • Hi Jimmy,

    Got your idea.

In this case, you only need to always tie the EN/DIM pin with VIN. Then you could use the button on power rail you mentioned to control the device on/off by connecting/disconnecting the power supply.

    Thank you!

    Best,

    Qingwei.
