TPS65987D: Spurios Behavior after RDO

  • Hi David,

Looking at this log you shared, the OVP event appears to happen much later than the 15->5V transition. Almost 150ms? If it were an RCP event, we would have expected it to happen much closer to the transition.

Do you have any ideas where else the voltage spike may be coming from? I understand that the 5-V is being sourced through PPHV1, and higher voltages through PPHV2, but as mentioned, the transition happens much sooner.

Do you have PD logs + oscilloscope traces during the same run that I can align?

Also, where in the PD logs do you see the hard reset? I'm not familiar with the Lecroy logs, and don't seem to see the disconnect and reconnect in the first picture you shared.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Chris
