Tool/software:
Hi,
I am looking to add transient protection to a priority mux application using the TPS25947. The voltage being muxed is 12V and there is aprox 400uF of capacitance on the muxed output voltage. Does TI have any info on what kind of rating the Schottky diode needs to adequately protect the TPS25947? I expect it would be important to keep the forward voltage below the Minimum Output Voltage Pulse (-0.8) listed on on the absolute max ratings of the datasheet but I am unsure how much current the diode will need to dissipate - I am not sure if I am looking for a diode or a rectifier.
Thanks
