LP5813: Multiple LED in series or parallel

Hello -

I am using the LP5813 and have a total of 13 LED's I want to control (unfortunately the max for the device is 12). However, LED 1 & 2 are the same function (separate LED on ethernet jack, but light up together), and LED 3 & 4 are the same function also.

I plan to use Vout = 3V.

Can I put the LED1 and LED2 in parallel, between OUT0/OUT1, and use current sharing resistor to ensure similar lighting (it doesn't need to be perfectly equal).

Hi Leon,

I think it could be possible but it seems that there are only 11 LEDs in the schematic. If the total LED number is less than 12, I'd like to recommend to follow the connection on datasheet.

Hi Jared - there will be 13, sorry, this was just a sketch for reference. The only one I paid attention to is the 4 between OUT0/1 and OUT0/2.

I forgot to add the additional ones between OUT3->OUT0 and OUT3->OUT1.
