TPS25751: Enable and Disable option

Hi,

I am designing a 100W bidirectional charger following the reference design https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP41062.
It meets all my requirements, but I want to add an enable/disable signal that can control when power is available at the type C port only when the charger is acting as a source. However, when the charger is working as a sink the enable/disable is not required.

Please suggest how to add the same.

Hi Shwetanshu,

You can use the GPIO Output Event #73 "EnableSource" to determine when the TPS25751 is behaving as a source. That, combined with whatever logic you need to determine when you want to provide power, can be used to drive a FET to control if power is provided via the USB-C port. Or you can use the fact that the signal is high, along with your own logic for when you want to provide power, to determine when to drive the GPIO Input event Fault_Input_Event to enter the USB Type-C Error Recovery State until you want to provide power.
