Hello, we are currently using the BQ24765 as the battery charger IC in our product. However, we have came to know that it is not recommended for new designs. Could you please suggest a suitable alternative charger IC for our new product?

Do you want the standalone charger, or I2C/SMBUS controlled?

What is the battey voltage/charge current?

What is the input voltage?

Below are the details:

Communication Interface : SMBus

Battery Voltage : 12.6 V

Charge Current : 2A

Input Voltage : 15 V

Hello Sayan,

BQ25720 and BQ24770 are SMBus charge controller alternatives. If you prefers chargers with integrated FETs, we have BQ25798 (buck-boost) and BQ25672 (buck only).
