TPS650330-Q1: BOOSTXL_TPS65033X failed to connect to device usb2any on I2C@0x60

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, MSP430F5529

Tool/software:

While trying to connect to a TPS65033000-Q1 through a BOOSTXL_TPS65033x I receive the message: "Connected to USB2ANY Controller, but failed to connect to device usb2any on I2C @0x60"

I followed steps 3.1 to 3.2 from the BOOSTXL_TPS65033 User's guide:

  • the MSP430F5529 Launch Pad was programmed by File > Program device
  • pin1 orientation is checked
  • I measure 5V on VSYS with multimeter
  • Main switch is ON and confirmed by led lighting up
  • BUCK1 is supplied with VSYS (I even measure 3.3V on BUCK1 output)
  • BUCK2, BUCK3 and LDO are supplied with BUCK1 out
  • SEQ is ON and measured ~4.3V with multimeter
  • GPIO is ON
  • VIO jumper present and measured 3.3V with multimeter
  • device selection jumpers set to TPS650330
  • serial port set to USB2ANY/OneDemo device(usb2any) - the only option present even after refresh

According to the debug flow chart the LaunchPad may be damaged but I tried already with 2 different LaunchPads including a new one(with updated firmware via GUI).

The behaviour is the same for both the web GUI and standalone GUI.

May the component be locked or am I missing something?
