Tool/software:
Dear TI experts,
Now my customer proceeds CE certification with their product using TPS23881.
One of the test they have to control output current limit.
In the datasheet, output contol limit is controlled automatically, and they checked that output is disconnected about 93W.
They have to disconnect output almost 100W.
Is there any way to control output current limit through register or changing the value of passive components?
Please check this issue. Thanks.
Best regards,
Chase
Hi Chase,
Thanks for reaching out!
Do you have a host with the PSE? If so, you could program the Pcut in range of 4 W to 127 W.

Dear Diang,
Thank you for your support.
You mean Pcut is the register below?
If not, Please nothfy another specific register.
Best regards,
Chase
Hi Chase,
Thanks for your reply!
Yes, at 2Ah and 2Bh, if you want to change the power limiting to100W, with a 0.2Ohm current sensing resistor (0.5W per step), you can write as 1100 1000 for 100W.
Besides, it is recommended to change the power limiting after port turn on.
Best regards,
Diang
