TPS54560: How to create negative power with buck ICs?

Another question .If there is nothing preventing any Buck IC to be configured as an IBB. Why does IBB have a separate category instead of merging it with BUCK in one category? And the number of IBBs is less than the number of BUCK chips? According to your answer, the number of IBBs should be greater than or equal to BUCKs. Are there any special considerations for chip design with IBB ?

Hi Wenhe,

Any ordinary buck regulator can be converted into an IBB with a few simple changes in line and load connections. We need to keep IBB as separate category since it might confuse to customer who requires only positive output from buck converter.
