BQ28Z620: Questions about implementing the Fuel Gauge

Part Number: BQ28Z620

Tool/software:

Hey guys!

I'm implementing the Fuel Gauge BQ28Z620 in my circuit and I was quite confused during the implementation, I have some doubts and I would really like if someone could confirm if everything seems ok.

I'm leaving the schematic of the Input, chargins and power circuit attached (the PDF, the image is just for question 3), if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Just adding, the VPACK goes to the input of my DC/DC converter, which powers the entire board.

My doubts:
1. Is my circuit implemented correctly? I mean, do the battery, BMS and "VPACK" output seem to be connected correctly?

2. I want to have polarity reversal protection. I read in some documentation that the Q6 mosfet is there for this, but I didn't understand how it provides this protection.

3. [Refer to the circuit in the image below] I also found a circuit that has another MOSFET on the negative polarity of the battery (Q5 in the circuit below) and a zener (D10) between the gate and drain of this mosfet, does it also serve to protect against battery polarity reversal? If not, what is this circuit for?

4. I added that slide switch (SW1) to allow me to decouple the battery from the rest of the circuit. I imagine that if I force the Mosfet gate to GND, it will never conduct. Right? Do you consider this solution viable?

I think that would be it. please feel free to comment/suggest anything (:

Thanks!
