Tool/software:

Hi TI expert

My situation is same as below thread.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1415198/tps25751evm-tps25751evm-error-flashing-to-device?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=TPS25751%252520error#

When checking Seriai Port Configration ,  Port shows COM9(Microsoft).
How to change driver from Microsoft to Texas Instruments?

  • Hi,

You can change the COM port through the Serial Port Configuration Tab as shown below:

If the COM port for Texas Instruments, Inc. doesn't show up trying power cycling the TPS25751EVM by removing all power from it and re-connecting the required cables. Also as a side note when flashing to the TPS25751EVM you also need to supply power either through the J2 Type-C power port with a 15V-20V adapter or through J3 Type-C port.

Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns!

    Thanks and Regards,

  • Thank you for reply.

When I connect to EVM , COM9 appear.
My computer can not use Texas Instruments driver.

When I check voltage of VSYS and 730_PPHV on the EVM ,  both point has 20V.

  • Hi,

Couple other debug tips to try:

    1. Make sure you don't have another GUI opened at the same time. TPS25751EVM can only connected to one instance of the GUI at any time, if connected any other instances of the GUI will not be able to connect to TPS25751EVM.

    2. Check and make sure the cable used for J4 port (data) is capable of USB data, non-data cable (power only) will not connect TPS25751EVM to the GUI.

    3. Make sure all plugins are installed when opening the GUI. If there is a plugin that's missing (i.e. TI Cloud agent) the GUI will notify you upon opening the tool. Make sure everything is installed and refresh the GUI.

    4. Try and see if this issue is replicable on a different device/laptop.

Let me know if you're still unable to connect to the GUI or if you have any questions or concerns!

    Thanks and Regards,

    Raymond Lin
