Tool/software:
Hi,
When enabling the Safety Over Temperature (SOT) feature, the IC consistently enters a fault state. We are obtaining the RAW ADC count from the IC for the thermistor and using the Steinhart-Hart equation to convert this count into actual temperature readings. However, regardless of the threshold set, the AFE (Analog Front End) always triggers a permanent fault.
Specifically, when selecting the 18K model with default values, the temperature reading appears to be around 100°C at room temperature. Consequently, if I set the threshold to 120°C, the device does not enter a secondary fault.
I have two questions:
-
When I select the PIN setting to take RAW ADC counts with an 18K pull-up, how does the device calculate the temperature for its internal operations?
-
If I select the 18K model and attempt to perform curve fitting, what input values are required for this process? Does the device convert the RAW ADC counts into resistance prior to calculating the temperature?
Additionally, I would appreciate the coefficients for the ERT-J1VR103H thermistor, which can be found in its datasheet: ERT-J1VR103H Datasheet.
If any further information is needed, please let me know.
Thank you!
