Tool/software:
Hi Sir,
My customers are designing TPS65994BF at MTL platform with HBR.
1. What reference platform I have to choose at GUI (v6.3.2/6.3.5) ? I didn't see MTL currently.
2. About the two reference design from Intel, would you please helping to explain what I have to choose in those GPIO setting?
a. From Intel McLaren Island:
b.From Hayden bridge reference
Best regards,
Gary Teng
Hi,
BF is not recommended for MTL. Is there a reason why customer is looking to use BF parts?
Regards
Hi Tommy,
They follow reference design from Intel. Please update information to intel if TI hope customer use BH in new platform if possible..
And would you please helping to explain those gpio setting/mapping with 994’s gpio event if they can change design to BH?
Thanks and regards,
Gary
Gary,
We always recommend customer use latest TPS65994XX part when doing Intel design. MTL development happened with TPS65994BF. But customers are expected to use TPS65994BH.
The GPIO mapping will be the same though.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris,
My question is what gpio I have to choose in gui for mapping those name at intel’s schematic if there’s no reference design we can choose in gui. Thanks.
Regards,
Gary
Understand.
You can use the 6.4.32 GUI ideally. This will have a default config for RPL which should get you 80% there as the GPIO settings between them did not change.
You can get access/download the GUI version here: https://www.ti.com/secureresources/TPS65994-DESIGN
Thanks,
Chris
