Kindly review the schematic of TPS63901.

SEL=0 Output voltage is set to 3.3V and current is set to 100mA.

Is it fine if i connect CFG1 directly to GND pad of B1? Because this one pad will need Blind via and it will increase Production cost alot.

Hi,

Yes, it is ok to short CFG1 to GND, it is a good idea to save cost, i think.

I have one very important thing to discuss. We are using wireless charging system to power TPS63901. But the issue is as soon as we connect battery to board, battery gets so hot that board becomes smoky. And we have to immediately remove battery from board. We have done all beep tests around the IC to make sure we don't have any short connection. All beep tests were fine. As soon as we cut the input power to TPS63901 battery stopped getting hot. I am attaching schematic for your reference. SCH_Schematic1_2024-11-11.pdfWe are also getting 3.3V stable output from it

We have no clue why battery gets very hot. But battery stopped getting hot when we cut VCC.

Also one more thing. Schematic is fine for 3.3V and 100mA output?

Hi,

Have to say no issue found from my side about schmatic, it is strange that high power consumption observered when TPS63900 is applied, is it possible cause by issue from PCB? or, did you find any damage about device?

Actually issue is something else. 1st we disconnected input power to TPS63901 and battery stopped getting hot. But then we attached another load to battery and it again got hot. which means TPS63901 is not causing that issue. Issue is somewhere else in board. I will keep you posted if I find any solution.
