BQ76972: flash dump not complete

Part Number: BQ76972

Tool/software:

Hi,

When I do a flashdump using BQ studio 1.3.127 (or 1.3.111) of my BQ76972, the data memory is only read to 0x9327. However, balancing parameters are out of this range as one of those registers is at 0x9342 for example. Is this expected? Or how can I change this range?

Our goal is to be able to simply export using the flashdump and then convert this file with a simple script to a .h file. But if this export isn't complete we have to find another way.

I hope you can help us!

Kind regards, Robert Jan

  • Hello Robert,

I recommend exporting the .gg (csv) file and try to make a script with that instead. The GUI was originally designed for TI’s gauges and the monitor’s team utilizes it. It’s unfortunately not something we can fix.

    Best Regards,
    Alexis

  • Hi Alexis,

In the mean time I solved the issue by changing some parameters in the .bqz file. Something TI would be able to do. Now it correctly exports the right amount of data.

    Kind regards,

    Robert Jan Bout
