BQ25750: Simple Buck Boost charger - no power path FET - no reverse mode

Part Number: BQ25750
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25756

Tool/software:

I am not sure where to connect the SYS terminal in this circuit.  I think it should be directly connected to the battery,

but some guidance would be very welcome.

Regards,

Marc Isherwood

  • Hello Marc,

Just to clarify, are you using the BQ25750 with the BATFETs removed or are you using the BQ25756?

If the ACFETs are also not installed, you would connect the SYS pin to the VAC pin. If the ACFETs are installed, you would connect the SYS pin to the ACN side of the RAC sense resistor.

    Best Regards,

  • Ethan,

thanks for your prompt reply.  I was using the BQ25750 with the AC and BAT fets removed, but your suggestion of the ...2576 seems a better choice and cheaper to boot.

    Thanks again.

    Regards,

    Marc
