BQ27426: Gauge enable and status update

Hi team,

1. In BQ27Z561 or latest device, customer need to set Gauge_Enable to start Gauging algorithm.

Bu I did not see this in BQ27426, Does this socket need to do this?

2. In TRM, status 00 means there are limits in Qmax and Ra update. 11 means no limit(after golden learning).

It was strange! I think there should no limit during golden learning(default should be 11). And after learning, there should be limit(00).

Is that typo error?

Hello Kailun,

This gauge does not need a Gauge_enable, it will always be enabled.

I think that wording should be disregarded. It should be interpreted as 00 means learning cycle has not been completed yet and 11 means learning cycle is completed.

So when the golden learning finished, status will be updated to 11? and customer need to modified it to 00 to make bq.fs file right?

I can not speak on why the TRM says that as this was written years ago. New guidance is to keep those bits as 11.
