Tool/software:
Hello,
is there are commercial grade variant of the TPS7H500x or a derived part? The 2MHz operation, current sense input redundant/interleaved operation sets it apart from other parts available.
Hello,
The TPS7H500X-SP family is a grounds up design of a space grade controller.
This means there is no commercial equivalent as it was designed for specifically space grade applications.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hello,
could you recommend an alternative part? All I see that is halfway comparable is the UCC28251 which realistically operates <1MHz and, at least from the datasheet, lacks some capabilities with regard to current mode control as well as the simulation models where the TPS7H500x provides a full transient model.
Best Regards,
M.
Hey M.
The UCC28251 was used as the commercial basis for the part.
How much the TPS7H5001-SP is different than the UCC28251 shows how much was engineered from the grounds up.
There are lower space grade versions of the part in the TPS7H5005-SEP through TPS7H5008-SEP.
There are EM versions of the part meant for prototyping.
I do not know of a commercial part that is close to the TPS7H5001-SP.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi,
thanks for conclusively answering that. I see that the two parts are quite similar (except for speed unfortunately) so I'll live with the switching speed limit and work around the small issues with current feedback. Using a space qualified part is cost-prohibitive.
Thanks again,
M.
