TPS25762-Q1: Configuration settings not charging device on port A (TPS25762Q1evm-146)

Hi Julian,

Please ensure when creating your configuration, the top right lists "TPS25762C-Q1".  Additionally, please ensure you supply sufficient input voltage (14V should be plenty) and that the TVSP selection jumper J7 is set to either OPEN, or SEL4.

If you continue to see failures, can you share your configuration settings in .json format?  This can be created by clicking the "Save Configuration" button in the top right of the GUI.

I'm supplying with 12V currently, should this be enough?

It depends how you've configured the VIN ENGINE ON/OFF pane.  Your input must be greater than the first entry field.

I received the configuration file over email and nothing immediately looks wrong to me.  I am away from the office but will try to have another team member try this on an EVM in our lab.

You might want to try removing the 20V PDO option, but I am not certain this will help.

maybe i'm using the wrong low region binary file? 
This is the one i received:
base_lowregion_F311.03.11.0001.bin

plus the two key files:
EngrKey_dev2
ProdKey_dev2

The selections i'm using are "Production Key" check box and the "gui configured -- app configuration..."
+ a power cycle. then I plug in my test device, 1 tablet and 1 phone, and neither of them get the charge indicator. 12V supply 5 A max.

Hi Julian,

The TPS25762Q1EVM-146 comes pre-programmed. Were you able to charge a sink device before using the GUI to reprogram the onboard EEPROM with your appconfig settings? This will help confirm if it is a hardware or firmware issue.

I did not confirm this, unfortunately. Is there a base FW i can restore it to? i can try to reprogram whatever was on it.

Finally getting back from vacation and I'm able to work on this finally. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for the binary below. I reprogrammed this and realized my EVM is not working, unfortunately. Luckily i placed this component on a custom board i made and i was able to program it with the Binary you gave me. It was able to Charge a device.

For my next question:

I tried to use the the base image "base_lowregion_F311.03.11.0001.bin" and added PDO + PDP (10W @ 5,9,15,20V) only. No other changes were made. After i tried to produce the Binary with "Save Full Flash Image" first using the Engineering Key and then using the Production key and they both did not work. (no charging detected after programming). I used the "Gui Configured ..." selection before generating the binary and then programming, but this did not work. 

Would you be able to assist with settings and/or verify that these are the correct low_region binary and configurations? Thanks so much for your help and happy new year!

Please try reaching out to the TI customer support center as you may be able to get a new replacement EVM for your defected one.

You said your PDP is 10W. Is this correct or a typo?

Can you attach and share your full flash binary, so I can try to reproduce the issue?
