UCC28750EVM-071: high-frequency noise problem

Part Number: UCC28750EVM-071

Tool/software:

hi

I made a PCBA with reference to ucc28750-EVK,
All components used are the same as EVK’s BOM,
The sample can stably output up to 65W,
but when the sample is working, as the output power becomes higher and higher, it will produce increasingly louder high-frequency noise,
Please help me find out the bug.
many thanks.

  • Hello,

The UCC28750EVM-071 was designed to handle 60 W.   So as you increase the power above 65 W the design is going into over current protection protecting the design.

If you need the design to work greater than 60 W you will need to redesign the power stage to handle the additional output power.  The data sheet and excel design tool will give you guidance on how to accomplish this.  You can find the link to the excel tool below.
