Tool/software:
I use TPS6521903 as PMIC for AM64x platform.
All VDDSHV_MCU and VDDSHV[0..3] are 3.3V power rail and should be power up firstly according to AM64x datasheet.
I don't understand why we need GPO2 to enable an extra load switch to power up 3.3V rails on EVM board.
Can I delete this load switch?
Hi Wei,
In this application GPIO2 controls the power up and down sequence, as you can see DVD3V3 is the first to come up after ON request goes high and last to go down after OFF request. Without the load switch DVD3V3 is always connected to VSYS. Hope that explains your concern.

Hi Sathish,
With main power plugged in on my board, the TPS6522053 is always enabled.
I think there is no big difference in the power-up sequence between with and without load switch(a few ms).
But as you said, the load switch will affect the power down sequence as well .
Thanks for your reply.

Wei
