TPS65987D: extended temperature range

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987, TPS25751, TPS25730, , TPS65994AE, TUSB1046A-DCI

Tool/software:

For TPS65987 USB PD Controller; Operating ambient temperature is   –10°C - +125°C . But we need -30°C operating temperature.
Are there any plans to expand the lower limit?

  • Hello,

Unfortunately at this time no, we have no plans of updating the temperature range for the TPS65987D. We have newer devices like the TPS25751 and TPS25730 that have a wider temperature range. Would either of these devices meet your requirements?

  • Hello, I need device supportitng alternate mode and working in source mode.

  • Hello,

Unfortunately at this time we do not have a device that meets those requirements. We do not have any immediate plans to release a a device that supports alternate modes with a wider temperature range.

  • Hello,

I am considering using this system supporting alternate mode (USB or DisplayPort):

TPS65994AE (Dual Port USB Type-C® and USB PD Controller with Integrated Source Power Switches) and TUSB1046A-DCI (USB Type-CTm DP ALT Mode 10-Gbps linear redriver crosspoint switch for source side). Both parts support wider temperature range. Are there any reference schematics for this solutions? Thanks

  • Hello,

The TPS65994AE is only intended to be used for applications that are following an Intel reference design. All of the key collateral for this device are stored in a secure software folder. Being granted access to this folder comes with the requirement of following an Intel reference design.

Unfortunately since it sounds like you are not following such a reference design, we would not be able to grant you access to the material.

So unfortunately we do not have a solution that meets your requirements. Apologies
