BQ34Z100-R2: GPC CHEM / learning cycle issues

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Tool/software:

This is a continuation of this thread, but it may be not important to reference:

This test is on a custom board using two parallel Lithium Ion batteries (13S) shown here:

https://maxamps.com/collections/13s-46-8v-li-ion/products/li-ion-5000-13s1p-46-8v-battery-pack

I confirmed with the manufacturer that this battery uses Samsung 50S cells.

I did the GPC CHEM evaluation and received the report below which identifies Chem IDs 2144 and 2708 as best matches :

"Chem ID max DOD error, % Max R deviation, ratio
2144 2.71 1.42
2708 2.97 0.05"

However, there are also notes in the report that the deviation is so high there is likely an anomaly in the data. I reviewed the data to try to clean up any odd entries and re-ran the GPC CHEM tool a few more times, but it continued to come back with the same IDs.

"Warning: Generic ID Deviation is so high that it is most likely due to anomaly in the data. Please check that data files have recomended format, units and test schedule"

I suspect the 2144 and 2807 IDs are invalid because 2144 is a NiCoMn/carbon battery in Battery Management Studio.

Upon updating the gauge to CHEM ID 2144 and attempting a learning cycle, it did not complete. Learning Status was stuck at 5 and did not transition to 6. Those logs will be posted in a few minutes in a follow up post (on a different computer).

Can you please help with next steps to correctly identify the cell chemistry profile and complete the learning cycle? Thank you
