BQ27Z558: Question about lerning cycle

Part Number: BQ27Z558

Tool/software:

Dear TI experts,

My customer considers BQ27Z558 for their next project, and they have few question.

1. My customer wants to proceed learing cycle in 0 degree ambient temperature because actual environment is about 0 degree.

In this case Should I proceed learning cycle in 0 degree using like low temperature chamber?

2. Can I put both room temperature golden image and 0 degree golden image in the same IC?

3. If the answer is no in question 2, Does TI have any IC which can put different golden images in one IC?

Best regards,

Chase

  • Hello Chase,

    1. The learning cycle should always be done at room temp, regardless what the system "ambient temperature" is going to be. We have a tool called the GPCRB tool to help tweak parameters for low temperature applications, so this can be used if you are experiencing poor performance at cold temp.

    2. Only one golden image should be done, and this should be done at room temp.

    3. No.

    Regards,

    Jonny.
