Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z50EVM-561
Tool/software:
Hello guys,
I bought the BQ40z50EVM-561 eval kit for gauge and the connection board EV2400 directly from TI website.
I followed the instructions for the connection of EV2400 to computer, downloading BQ-Studio (version 1.3.127) with both PC Win11 and Win 10 and just EV2400 connected to USB.
In both cases, this is the situation:
It seems that the board can't be recognized by Windows, both version.
Then, I tried to get support reading post on E2E forum, especially:
Since at the first connection of EV2400 to PC; no leds are ON, I shorted Jumper JP7 and tried to upload the fw version 0.18 from command prompt, I got the message:
I tried several times changing computer (all Win 11) and USB but no chance.
Then I changed PC with Win 10 and tried same procedure to upload the FW. Also in this case:
Also in this case, I tried with several Win 10 PC and different USB cable.
At this point, the new action was to upload the FW version 0.28 and FW version 0.32, but in both OS (win 11 and win 10), I got the message:
Other users solved the communication issue with Win 10 PC, but in my case, the MCU on the board seems to have different problems.
I don’t know how to proceed to get the EV2400 working. I suppose no more actions are possible from my side.
How can I solve this?
Can anyone help me please?
Since this is the behaviour at first startup (the board didn’t communicate since the first connection to PC), can I assume this is a defective part and ask for a replacement?
Thanks for help.
