EV2400: EV2400

Hi Jonny

There is no such version available at website and I already have the latest version Version: 1.3.101.1.
I downloaded the latest firmware but it is not uploading as shown in above pictures that i uploaded.

I installed the BETA version of studio but still no detection of EV2400. I think it's not BQstudio issue. It is something else that is stopping EV2400 communication.

I am also not able to update firmware in EV2400 and it gives me error.

I agree, since you are not able to update the FW on the E2400, I don't believe that this is related to bqStudio, rather a connection issue with your computer. Is it possible for you to try and connect the EV2400 to another computer?

I created this thread because i found another thread with similar issue but couldn't find solution there so i asked a related question.
I can see detection of EV2400 in device manager.
Unfortunately, i don't have any other computer to install BQstudio. Is there any other way that i can check if EV2400 detected.

I already tested different cables. Also, i used EV2400 with same computer before. I am not sure if any update of window cause this problem or something else.

If i am able to update the firmware then it will resolve this issue.

I did test with/without gauge but same results.

Last time,when i used it. If gauge connected then it auto detect the chip but now it is not giving any information about gauge or EV2400.

I might not able to better explain the issue in my previous messages so here are the details.

1: I tried to update the FW but as EV2400 communication is not successful that's why it is neither showing at BQStudio nor it let me to update. I attached screenshots in my previous messages.

The black picture is when i try to update FW.

The other pictures are about BQSTUDIO.

To update firmware, I don't think so i need any setup except simply connect EV2400 with computer. Can you confirm me about it plz?

I don't have another EV2400 and I am sure it is not damaged.
I found this issue all over the e2e forum.

By following this link, i shorted JP7 and it made some progress as shown in the figure below.


I need support from the guy who already resolved these issues.

It looks like the EV2400 firmware did update successfully when you shorted J7 and it should be working now (after you remove J7). Is it still not being detected by BQStudio?

This is unusual behavior and is consistent with an ESD shock to the device. What this sounds like is there was a shock to either one of the level translators, or to the MSP430.

I tested the EV2400 on another laptop and it is showing the Version and everything as it should be. It is somehow  compatibility issue with window 11. I tested it with window 10 pro and it worked fine.

Unfortunately, i upgraded all my systems to window 11. I guess this was the reason that same EV2400 worked for me because i had window 10 before.

I will reinstall windows 11 to see if it make any difference.
