Dear support,
I use TPS16630RGE in the following circuit:
I can see a constant current of 300mA between two retries. At 24V input voltage this is 6W. Can I somehow lower, or shorten this value?
Regrads,
Simon

Hi Simon,
Apologies for the delay. It looks like you have tagged wrong part number. I am assigning this to my teammate who is expert for this device.

Hello Simon,
Welcome to E2E.
I believe it's because of the lower value of UVLO, OVP resistor divider.
Can you please use below design calculator and use the value from design calculator.
Thanks
Amrit
TPS16630RGE is assembled. That is the variant without power limiting. It should cut of.
Hi Amrit,
why to you think it is because the lower value of UVLO? It is calculated to turn on between 19V and 28V. This works as expected.
I can't understand why in short circuit testing current is flowing most of the time (300mA).
Simon
Hello Simon,
Sorry for the confusion.
I didn’t know this short circuit testing. I thought you are seeing input leakage current.
Can You send me waveform with wider time scale and describe the test condition?
Thanks
Amrit
