BQ76952: Thermistor Measurement - NTC

Part Number: BQ76952
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV431

Tool/software:

BQ76952 allows you to disable the internal pull-up resistor entirely. This means the thermistor pin will not have any built-in biasing resistor, and you would need to provide an external pull-up resistor - this possible ?

U4 is TLV431 Is this voltage source and external pull up so we can measure temperature? if we use this who can do the configuration

  • Hello Shiva,

This means the thermistor pin will not have any built-in biasing resistor, and you would need to provide an external pull-up resistor - this possible

    That is correct.

    who can do the configuration

You can configure them yourself on our device. You would want to go into, for example, the TS1 pin configuration register (shown in Table 13-9. TS1 Config Register Field Descriptions of the Technical Reference Manual and configure it to select ‘no pull-up (used for ADCIN functionality). Then the 0x70 TS1 Temperature() command would return a 16-bit signed value corresponding to the pin voltage in mV.

This previous post may assist you as well.

    Best Regards,
