TPS53689T: Multi phase controller

We found 1 phase converter have no suitable solution, we currently survey for below application, Would you please help us?

1. Vin 3.3~12V, Vout 0.75V(default) Iout 40A

2. Transient can support 700A/us slew rat.(How to us evaluate the device can support 700A/us? Only via simulation or there should have tool likes Intel transient key?)

3. I2C control 10mV/step

4. Remote sense

5. Can support external feedback resistor change voltage. (Nice to have)

Hi Jeff,

Our I2C devices are limited to about 35A. With this being the case, I would like to recommend some of our PMBus devices, which can go up to 50A. If you are open to PMBus, I would like to recommend our newest device, TPS546E25, releasing very soon, and TPS546D24A, which is already released. These devices support 50A and 40A respectively. Please let me know if this works for you and we can proceed with more detail.

Hi Jeff,

The 700A/us transient response will mostly depend on the output capacitors and PCB layout, rather than the device itself. The device plays a role in this, but mostly dependent on the Cout and PCB layout quality.

What are your remaining conditions? Such as Load step. Is the load step from 0-40A? at 700A/us?
