Hello Jimmy,
Continuous discharge is dependent on your Rsense, traces, and FETs if you are using a protector IC in the system. The BQ27Z561 doesn't carry the load of the cell but is able to monitor voltage tap, current sense and temperature information.
Hello Alan:
Thank you for your feedback,May I ask what value of sampling resistor is required to enter discharge mode? What is the approximate percentage of accuracy? The current unit for entering discharge state and sleep mode is mA. Will it remain in sleep mode all the time? Thanks!!!
Hello Jimmy,
The ADC has a 3.74-µV resolution and once you select your sense resistor you could do Ohm's law to find the current accuracy of it. For the gauge to enter into sleep mode is default set at 15mA
and deep sleep at 10mA default. Lastly it would wake into normal mode when it sees higher current being drawn assigned for sleep mode. I attached the technical reference manual that goes over all the settings for power mode and how it would effect the operation when current is being drawn.
