BQ25756EVM: Guidance Needed for BQ25756EVM-Based Charger Board Design

Part Number: BQ25756EVM

Tool/software:

BMS_BC (2).pdf

Hi TI Team,

We followed the reference design of the BQ25756EVM board and designed a 4-layer PCB. I have uploaded our schematic for your review. We also have the EVM board, which is functioning well, and we cross-checked our schematic with it—both are identical.

Could you please guide us on what else we should verify or check? We have completed our project except for this charger board.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
vishwa

  • Hello Vishwa,

Thanks for working on this. I've got a few questions about the schematic:

    • Can you tell me what your input/output voltage and current is?
    • Also, will you be working with a USB application? If not, you can reduce the capacitance on both VBAT and VAC to only 80µF.

Your schematic is will work and function fine, but the EVM is designed to function across the entire IC input and output voltage. There might be a few optimizations that can be made to reduce cost or improve performance.

    Best Regards,
    Ethan Galloway
