I read about a new version of TPS25730D which will have "safe boot" option.

Which Part Number will it have and what is the suggested timeline to get the new devices?

"This is expected behavior that is going to be changed for the next revision of the TPS25730, which we are currently working on.

Right now, the part boots into AlwaysEnableSink mode, which closes the power path upon boot (until configuration is loaded). For the next revision, the part will boot into SafeMode, which will keep the power path open until configuration is loaded.
