Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25750,
Tool/software:
Hi all,
I want to disable sourcing capabilities for the TPS25751 to save power until certain conditions, I moved from the TPS25750 to the TPS25751 because of the recommendation of some TI's engineers.
Following this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1361588/tps25750-disable-source-role-to-save-power-question I have some problems with USB lightning cables because:
- following the methodology I used in the thread I have linked here, I get that every time the external usb device is always requesting to be sourced, and this causes that the external device enters on charge for some time, then stops charging as soon as I put the sourcing current to zero, and then It repeats the behavior forever.
- following the role change that the TI engineer suggested in the thread I have linked my device acts as sink, and the external device starts charging my device. This is not our intention.
We want just to stop sourcing, following the first method it works with many devices, but not with USB lightning cables. Is there a way to avoid this weird behavior?
Thanks in advance for the help.
