Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP8645HV
Tool/software:
Hy,
I use a TPS48110 in a charge / discharge circuit for ION battery (see the attachment). OP_OV signal is not used, R6 is NOT mounted.
Looking at data-sheet, Figure 8-1. TPS48110-Q1 Functional Block Diagram, I understand that the current monitor is enabled when the device is enabled, EN > 1V so I designed my board to function as follow.
In the charge cycle the TPS48110 is used to connect the battery charger to the battery (OP_EN = OP_NP = 5V) and the load is disconnected (OLD = 0V); the current is measured using the LMP8645HV, ACUR signal.
In the discharge cycle the the battery is connected to the load (OLD = 0V) and the TPS48110 is enabled but the charger is disconnected (OP_EN = 5V, OP_NP = 0V); the current is measured using the TPS48110, AIMON signal.
What I see is that it needs also INP high to have IMON valid. Is there anything I can do to have a valid signal on IMON with the switchs PD e PU off ?
Thank you very much,
Francesco
