I've looked at the content that everyone discussed earlier, and it was mentioned that there are some parts of the Fault table in the Datasheet that need to be corrected.

When I conducted the experiment using the EVM board, the test item was overcurrent, and the load was provided by an E-LOAD. However, I found that the Vout value seems to not match the modified formula.

When overcurrent occurs, along with short to GND and thermal shutdown, the final fault behavior is the same. Does this mean it's impossible to distinguish which type of fault it is?

Hi YuFang,

Thanks for pointing this out, we have this data sheet typo in our workflow to correct.

And yes, there is no way to determine which type of fault (overcurrent, STG, thermal shutdown) it is without some external components. If this is necessary, we can discuss some external circuit or one of our SPI high side switches.

Dear Patrick,

Regarding the waveform, when overcurrent occurs, the Vout value is 10.97V, which seems to not match the I_LIM * R_LOAD formula.

Hi YuFang,

Are you using the eLoad in CC mode? If so, the resistance won't be defined as there is an active feedback loop trying to keep the current constant. Please use the eLoad in CR mode, and you should see the voltage you calculate.
