UCC28C43: Differences Between IC after PCN implementation

Part Number: UCC28C43

Tool/software:

Hello,

We have recently received UCC28C43D after PCN implementation of PCN#20211123004.0, and our circuits are no longer stable. I am including scope captures below showing the following voltages:

GREEN: VREF,
YELLOW: RT/CT, BLUE: CS, RED: FB.

Please explain, why does Vref voltage rise much quicker after the PCN. Why does the old IC begin oscillating sooner than the new IC. We are having many problems with this new IC on many products, but were not informed of any performance related changes to the chip.

New IC:

Thanks

  • Hi,

The observations you described are not with the specs - that is why not in the PCN.

If your designs are on something not specified, in general, you would need to adjust your design to adapt as they are not specified so PCN devices have no specs to follow.

What you mentioned did not make problems to our understanding to supporting. But since they make problems to your designs please provide details what problems you have then we can try to help.
