LV2862: Optimizing buck converting efficiency and audible ringing for low load application

Part Number: LV2862
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR51603

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am using the LV2862 to convert nominal 36V to 12V with output loading varying from 1mA to 30mA. I followed the TI webench design for the LV2862.

I noticed that when I power on the buck converter, it creating hissing and ringing noises. I've seen this type of issue before with other buck converters where they are forced into PFM mode to improve light load efficiency. Do you have any recommendations to improve this hissing/ringing noise or suggest a different buck IC?

Also, do you have any recommendations for a buck converter that has high efficiency at light loads in the range of 1mA - 30mA output and have a wide input voltage range of 8 - 45V? I would like the pricing to be similar to the LV2862.
