BQ27Z746: Inconsistent firmware version read back result using bqStudio Advanced Comm

hi,

When i tried to use Advanced Comm on bqStudio to read back the firmware version, the result is "17 46 01 05" which is correct, but sometimes the result is not "17 46 01 05".

Hello Soo San,

Whenever you are writing/reading from the gauge, you should have auto calibration disabled. If auto calibration is enabled when reading/writing from the gauge, this can cause a conflict on the comms and result in reading/writing incorrect data.

May i know how can I disable the auto calibration?

I am not sure the auto calibration is enabled or disabled when I read from gauge.

How can I check that?

By the way, I do not connect battery cell, i just connect the EVM to DC supply like shown below:

Will there be auto calibrating if if i using the setup above?

Hello Soo San,

Connecting directly to a DC power supply is fine.

Auto refresh is turned off by clicking the green auto refresh button.
