BQ76952: Serial communication capability in "Soft Shutdown" mode

Hi,

I'm currently looking into the behavior of the AFE when in soft shutdown mode and found a conflicting descriptions as shown below:

1. Technical Reference Manual for BQ76952 says when in shutdown mode due to LD pin held above Vwakeonld the serical communication is DISABLED.

Where as in the following post it says ENABLED.

[FAQ] BQ76952: What is the Soft SHUTDOWN state?

The behavior of our AFE on our BMS aligns with the latter. When the AFE meets the conditions to transition to soft shutdown mode, it still communicates with the host MCU through I2C without any issue.

Can someone clarify this?

The latest FAQ you quoted https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1273427/faq-bq76952-what-is-the-soft-shutdown-state has the correct behavior at soft-shutdown and a more descriptive description with the respective plots and communication status.

Thanks for pointing the TRM information, we will take note to fix that typo on the next release.
