LMG1020: How to use it for high side and low side operation

Part Number: LMG1020
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG1210

Tool/software:

As mentioned in the above forum, how can i use the second methodology mentioned?

  • Hello,

LMG1020 can be used as a high side driver using an isolated floating supply as shown in the diagram. The driver ground pin, IN- pin, and floating supply negative is connected to the switch node/high side FET source. The floating supply positive is connected to VDD. A level shifter may be needed in the IN+ input to translate the ground referenced signal to the floating supply referenced input.

If you need to drive a GaN half bridge configuration, our LMG1210 device includes a low side driver and high side driver with level shifter.

    Thank you,

    Walter
