BQ79600EVM: Do not work SPI AutoAddressing

BQ79600EVM: UART Auto Addressing using BQAutoEval 1.0.4 seems to not be working properly with BQ79616EVM as a stacked device

I'm currently using BQAutoEval 1.0.4 along with a BQ79600EVM (as a bridge) and a BQ79616EVM (as a stack device) and a USB2ANY connector. I am following the procedure as mentioned on the guide, opening the GUI, going over the Cell Monitor tab, sending a wake up ping to turn on the evaluation boards and then clicking the Auto Address button.

But only the BQ79600EVM (UART Mode) is detected and to be able to detect the other one, I need to click the auto address button multiple times (it is inconsistent) for it to show up. When it does both the bridge and the stack device end up having the same address (DIR0_ADDR) which leads to me not being able to read registers (e.g. 0343) on the stack device since it goes straight to the bridge.

I tried sending an auto addressing sequence (as seen below), but it does not change the address for the stacked device. When going to the register map, the GUI does not allow me to changing values manually, returning any values I input to the previous ones.

Is there any setup I am missing to be able to use the BQ79600EVM as a bridge and the BQ79616EVM as a stack device? When connecting the USB2ANY straight to the BQ79616EVM, I am able to perform any operations normally. I would like to be able to do the same, but using the transceiver.

    Lucas,

    When you push WAKE UP -> AUTO ADDRESS with your setup you will only see one device appear on the CELL MONITOR page. This is because the BQ79600 has no ADCs and thus cannot monitor any cells. You can find information about the BQ7900 in the BRIDGE CONTROL tab.

    The auto addressing sequence you provided is incorrect:

    This command sends a SLP2ACT tone, not a WAKE tone and thus does not wake the devices. 

    Changing the data to 0x20 correctly configures the devices:

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    I will correct that on my sequence, but in this case the reason for BQAutoEval 1.0.4 was the fact that I was not supplying 18V to VSTACK on the BQ79616 Evaluation board.

    I thought just supplying 12V to PWR would enable it on the GUI, but after I started using VSTACK with 18V instead it identified the evaulation board consistently and enabled all of its testing capabilities.
