TPS6594-Q1: "EEPROM Unlock Failed" error occurs during programing device

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS6594EVM, , SCALABLE-PMIC-GUI

Tool/software:

HW/SW being used:

  • TPS6594EVM evaluation board
  • TPS6594-Q1 PMIC
  • Scalable-PMIC-GUI  3.0.0

I have followed the steps to configure the TPS6594-Q1 chip on the evaluation board using the Scalable-PMIC-GUI tool. After configuring the PMIC chip I am no longer able to change the configuration and write a new (or even the same) configuration file to that chip. I receive the following error when trying to write a configuration files to the device:

"ERROR: EEPROM Unlock Failed"

When configuring the device for the first time, I was sure to not lock the device, when the pop up prompt asked "Do you want to lock this device?"

Any help debugging this error is appreciated
